Nicola Kurk is internationally recognised for her expertise in Shadow Work\u00ae. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of personal development, 18 of those in Shadow Work\u00ae as a Coach, Group Facilitator, Trainer, Mentor and educator.<\/p>\n
Originally an artist, she brings sensitivity, creativity and intuition to her practice of Shadow Work\u00ae and provides the emotional strength and security that makes it possible for clients to confront and heal core emotional wounds. People learn to trust themselves and the healing process itself and are enabled to engage fully in the lives they want to lead.<\/p>\n
Nicola is known for her passion for life and sense of fun as well as her intuition and perceptiveness. She is in demand as a coach, working one-to-one with individuals and couples or small groups, and also as a group facilitator. She has traveled extensively to lead seminars, retreats and training sessions in the UK, Europe, Russia, Dubai and North America and has also taught facilitation and leadership skills to corporate clients, including PriceWaterhouseCoopers and GE Capital.<\/p>\n
She is one of the co-founders of\u00a0Women in Power<\/a>, an initiation that unearths and honours buried aspects of the feminine soul and psyche and celebrates feminine rites of passage. She leads a community of women in the UK dedicated to making this work available in many different formats.<\/p>\n Highly regarded as a teacher of both the theory and practice of Shadow Work\u00ae, Nicola has, in partnership with her husband John, introduced Shadow Work\u00ae to many other countries. In particular, they have founded a flourishing community in Russia, where Shadow Work\u00ae has achieved officially-recognised status within the Institute of Jungian Psychotherapy. Existing and would-be Shadow Work\u00ae practitioners in many countries turn to Nicola for leadership, training and ongoing support and mentoring of their professional work.<\/p>\n John and Nicola Kurk\u00a0have pioneered the development and practice of Shadow Work\u00ae throughout Europe over the past two decades. As founders and mentors of a community of Shadow Work\u00ae practitioners stretching through Europe and Russia, they continue to inspire, train and mentor a new generation of facilitators and coaches. They are the only people certified by Cliff Barry, the creator of Shadow Work\u00ae, to offer the entire suite of training programmes: Basic Facilitator Training, Advanced Facilitator Training, Leader Training and Coaching Training.<\/p>\n They brought the first ever Shadow Work\u00ae facilitation to Russia ten years ago. Since then, they have trained, mentored and guided a new wave of professionals to deliver the work. Shadow Work\u00ae is now officially recognised in Russia by the Jungian Institute of Psychology.<\/p>\n As trainers and mentors of Shadow Work\u00ae practitioners, they create a space in which learning unfolds naturally; insight and understanding occur through direct experience. Course participants report that they have \u201cgot it in their bones.\u201d They lead the expanding community of Shadow Work\u00ae practitioners in Europe with wisdom, integrity and humour.<\/p>\n They also offer group Shadow Work\u00ae sessions and individual coaching in beautifully renovated premises near their home in Broadway, Worcestershire. They use retreat settings for work with larger groups and often travel internationally to run group sessions and deliver training. They are known for their ability to create a safe and shame-free environment in which people can explore and resolve core emotional and psychological issues.<\/p>\n Clients experience a renewed sense of connection to previously buried or unknown \u2014 but longed for \u2014 aspects of themselves; new levels of passion, engagement, creativity and acceptance emerge effortlessly.
