Mark Massoni is a certified Shadow Work® Group Facilitator, is trained in Shadow Work® Coaching, has trained and worked as a Domestic and Sexual Assault counselor, has been engaged in men’s work with the ManKind Project for 13 years and is currently training to teach fathering skills to abusive men.
Mark has spent most of his “adult” life as a cabinet- and furniture-maker. He has come to notice the similarity between creating a piece of fine furniture and facilitating a Shadow Work® process. Both require from him an understanding of the tools of the trade: what the tools are made to do, selecting the right tool, and how to keep them honed to a fine edge. Each of these undertakings requires a deep focus and an intentional step-by-step process, following the intention of what or whom he is working with: the strength and qualities of the wood or the desires and spirit of a participant. Then he finds that the outcome of each process is to a certain degree a surprise, and always a joy!
In his free time Mark enjoys spending time with his partner doing activist work, playing in their extensive gardens or walking the many beaches on Cape Cod where they live.
