Bring your true self out of the shadows and into the light
Dates:
March 3rd @ 6p-9p EST, March 4th @ 9a-6p EST, March 5th @ 9a-4p EST
About:
Shadow Work® is a personal and spiritual growth modality based in part on Jungian psychology and psychodrama techniques. This experiential, facilitated approach allows for deep healing because our bodies have an opportunity to get a “redo” from past experiences that cause us to be stuck in unproductive dynamics. Once a dynamic shifts, it’s like we gain access to a beautiful hidden power and energy that helps us reclaim who we really are and who we really want to be. Yay!
This might be for you if you are interested in:
-Learning more about the Jungian concept of “shadow” and how to identify when you might have something in “shadow”
-Exploring how to shift your role in interpersonal dynamics that no longer work
-Moving to the other side of “stuck” life situations
-Explore the four archetypal energies (Lover, Warrior, Magician, and Sovereign) through exercises, visualizations, and discussion
-Experience transformative “center work” in a setting
-Enhance a relationship by attending with a spouse/partner/friend
-Understanding more about yourself in a deeper way
Facilitators:
Judge Mattocks Jr. comes from a background of recovery, self-development, and was a student athlete at UNC, Chapel Hill. He is a Certified Co-leader and presenter of multiple ManKind Project courses, a Shadow Work® Group Facilitator, has worked with The Center for the Healing of Racism and the Veterans Journey Home. He has raised the bar of awareness bringing cultural, sexual, spiritual, religious, ethnic and other stereotypes to the forefront in Houston, Texas and around the globe. Judge co-creates a world of safety, integrity, unconditional love and forgiveness by building containers that offer opportunities to deconstruct the patterns of behavior that separate people of any background.
Gretchen (she/her) specializes in helping people expand their self-awareness, self-acceptance, and practical communication skills so they can live richer, more effective lives. She first experienced Shadow Work® at a weekend retreat while serving in the U.S. Air Force a long time ago. She felt the connection instantly, and now she is a Certified Shadow Work® Coach, Group Facilitator, and Trainer. While she will always promote personal growth and improved conflict engagement, she believes in keeping strong boundaries and not projecting onto others what she thinks is best for them. Instead, she leads from behind to allow for whatever wants or needs to unfold. Gretchen is committed to diversity and inclusion -even when it feels “messy” or scary.
