Certified Shadow Work® Group Facilitator
As an educator and group facilitator, Luke Entrup has created various retreats and programs that promote personal, professional and spiritual transformation. Presenting in the U.S. and internationally, his programs combine contemplative practices and the reintegration of shadow aspects. Luke has been leading group retreats since 2002, when he began designing leadership development programs for young adults. As a social entrepreneur, he has continued to find new ways to support people and communities in taking steps towards greater health and conscious living. He enjoys nothing more than helping people connect with their purpose and ability to lead a life of service to their community.
Luke’s passion for stewarding the health of individuals, organizations, and populations has taken many forms, including:
“Beyond The Machine” — A leadership development training and community gathering for people age 18-35 presented around the U.S.
“Living At The Threshold” — A meditation and educational retreat for people in transition presented at Shambhala Mountain Center in Colorado, U.S.
“Accountability In Men” — A leadership development and self-awareness program for male athletes at Southern Oregon University addressing gender-based violence on campus.
The chapter “Developmental and Spiritual Issues of the Next Generation,” co-authored with Beth Firestein, Ph.D., in the book Becoming Visible, published by Columbia University Press.
The evaluation of an HIV/AIDS Case Management program for CARE International in Rwanda.
A Certified Shadow Work® Group Facilitator, Luke also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University. He is a Lay Brother in the Hollow Bones Zen Order. Luke enjoys volunteering for the ManKind Project and hospice. He and his wife Sarah spend their time leading retreats, practicing yoga, meditating, and taking adventurous trips.
