Company Background

Shadow Work Founder Coach Facilitator Trainer Mentor Cliff Barry Boulder Colorado Have you ever wished you could process a whole organization or corporation — such as the company where you work — on the carpet, the way you do with individuals?

Have you ever wished you had tools for bringing the benefits of Shadow Work® into the workplace? Working with organizations is one place to use your carpet skills where you can actually earn some money.

Shadow Work® founder Cliff Barry has been working on some ways to bring what he has learned into the organizational world.

He’s made a series of very short videos (some shorter than a minute) in which he talks about some of what he's learned in the process. (The videos were originally filmed for men who have been initiated in the ManKindProject, and Cliff has decided to share them with a wider audience).

If you're interested in hearing about what it might take to transition from carpet work to organizational work, or to take Shadow Work® into the workplace —

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN FROM CLIFF'S VIDEO SERIES

By watching this series of short videos (total time about 23 minutes), you'll learn:

  • How an initiation container is different from Shadow Work®
  • How a business or organization is like, and unlike, an individual person
  • Generic names for the four archetypes on which the Shadow Work® Model is based, which can help you apply Shadow Work® in places where archetypes aren't known or acknowledged
  • The three levels on which a business or organization can be diagnosed, analyzed, and processed
  • "The game within the game" in business consulting
  • The importance of having a plan that businesspeople can grasp
  • The value of using stepping stones to get a business or organization from their strong point to their weak point

ONLINE LEARNING COURSES AND INTENSIVES SCHEDULED FOR SPRING 2013

Starting spring 2013, Cliff and his team will begin teaching the skills needed for applying Shadow Work® to businesses and organizations.

Online courses are being developed that will enable students to study at home and at their own pace. Then, intensive sessions will be held at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, so that students can practice what they have learned online.

The first two intensives are scheduled for the following dates:

March 7-10, 2013
June 3-7, 2013

To sign up for the spring course, contact Cliff at shadowwk@frii.com or by phone at 1-303-530-2840.

ABOUT OUR PARTNER, REGIS UNIVERSITY

As you may know, Regis's Institute on the Common Good has collaborated with Shadow Work® in the past in developing the conflict-resolution communication model we call Clean Talk for use in business and organizations. Regis is donating space for the intensives next spring.

Regis University's mission — very much in line with the beliefs underlying Shadow Work® — is to create leaders who will help improve and transform our society because they have achieved the inner freedom that results from doing their own personal work.

Regis's Institute on the Common Good (ICG) hosts a variety of forums and dialogues about important community issues that encourage service to society that benefits all citizens, especially those without a voice.

Shadow Work Seminars is excited to be working with the ICG once again on this venture to bring Shadow Work® into the workplace.
